FAQ

WHY TIME FRAMES?


We book in blocks of time to accommodate for the fact that our job often depends on the behavior of dogs, as well as the least predictable animal of them all: humans operating motor vehicles. We do a lot of driving and traffic can sometimes alter our plans.




WILL MY DOG BE WALKED IN A GROUP?


No. Our focus is on building a relationship with your dog and catering to their individual needs, not on simply "getting the job done." If your dog is a right fit for socializing with other dogs, they may be combined with other proven, social dogs in our care for walks or playtime with your permission.




WILL MY DOG GET TO GO TO THE DOG PARK?


Maybe! Once we get to know some of the dogs in our care and are given permission to transport them and have them off-leash, they are allowed to go to the dog park. We do not take dogs that we are not familiar with to the dog park, simply due to the risks at hand.




HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY DOG'S WALK?


We prefer regularly scheduled walks, booked through each month. Many of our clients are booked out a year+ in advance on a recurring schedule. As a general rule, we are not able to schedule walks less than a week in advance, though on occasion we may be able to make exceptions for established clients. If you are looking for as-needed, last minute service- we may not be the best fit for you.




WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL A WALK?


Home sick? Taking the day off? Please cancel before 9a.m. the day of the walk. You may message through the client portal or text your walker directly. Depending on your billing schedule, you will either not be charged or you will be credited for the visit on your next invoice. If you do not cancel before your walker shows up to your house, you will be charged as normal.




HOW DO I PAY?


Invoices are sent monthly or bi-weekly through Square. You can pay by cash, check, or card.




HOW WILL I KNOW THAT MY DOG WAS WALKED?


The client portal that we use will e-mail you as soon as your walker leaves your house - the update includes a note, a photo, and GPS check-in for time-in/time-out. If you do not receive an e-mail by accident, you can login to your portal account to see if it is in the system.




WHAT IF I DON'T WANT PHOTOS OF MY DOG(S) ON SOCIAL MEDIA?


Every dog shown on this website and our social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) are clients of ours and the photos have been taken by us. We love our clients and love to show them off! We are careful to never post photos revealing your name/address/I.D. tag info/details of the inside of your home. That being said, we totally understand if you want your pup to lay low. Just let us know!




WHO WILL BE WALKING MY DOG?


You will meet your walker at your meet & greet. Currently there are three of us who actively walk dogs under our care. Only your designated walker will have access to your dog and home unless there is an emergency with your regular walker - in which case you will be contacted to confirm a replacement.




HOW DO YOU GET IN MY HOUSE?


You provide us a copy of your key or keypad entry code. IF you choose to only provide an entry code, we respect your decision, but please bear in mind that technology does sometimes fail and we will not be responsible for your dog if we cannot access your house. Your keys are kept safe and only by your walker. If you are assigned more than one walker, we will create a copy with your permission.




WHAT ABOUT INCLEMENT WEATHER?


We walk dogs in all weather. We are careful during extreme heat and cold to keep your dog comfortable and safe. Your dog's outdoor time may be shortened if it is too hot or cold to be outside, and the rest of the visit will be spent indoors. If you feel that the weather is not appropriate for your dog, or that they will not enjoy their time out - you are welcome to shorten your dog's visit or cancel via client portal or text.




CANCELLATION/UNAVAILABLE DATES


In the case that your walker has a personal emergency or illness, we will make every effort to give you at least 24 hours notice of cancellation of service. You will be credited for a walk that is cancelled by your walker. You may have the option to have another walker care for your dog, but there may not be time for a meet & greet beforehand. This will be based on your dog and your personal decision. You will be e-mailed dates that your walker will be personally unavailable at least 30 days in advance, and will be reminded the week prior. You may be given the option to have another walker cover your dog's visits while your regular walker is gone - based on your dog and our other walkers' availability.
